Toast with Radish and Anchovy

Peppery crunch of radishes with the salty umami flavors of anchovies are creating a delightful balance. Served on a toasted slice of bread, this appetizer or light meal is quick to prepare and bursting with freshness.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 slices of bread (baguette, sourdough, or your preferred choice)
  • 2 radishes, thinly sliced
  • 3-4 anchovy fillets, rinsed and patted dry
  • Butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Toast the bread slices to your desired level of crispness.

  2. Spread good amount of butter. Place one or two anchovy fillets on each toast, depending on your preference for saltiness.

  3. Arrange the thinly sliced radishes on top of each toast, covering the surface evenly.

  4. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
