Panettone French Toast​

Phyllo Flowers with Feta

Floral Delights: Phyllo Flowers with Cheese, Eggs and Yogurt Filling.

Cooking Time: 1h

Serving: 6-8 servings

INGREDIENTS:

  • 400 g pack filo dough, thawed overnight in the fridge. 
  • 1/2 cup melted butter 
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pack of feta cheese
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • pine nuts
  • honey

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat and set it aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. In a bowl, combine eggs, cheese, yogurt.
  4. Open the pack of dough and take 1 sheets. Fold it and shape into flower.
  5. Place the shaped dough on the baking sheet one next to each other. Repeat the process with the remaining sheets.
  6. Once finished, spread the eggs and feta mixture over it.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
  8. Sprinkle with honey and roasted pie nuts.
  9. Serve the flower-shaped pastries warm or at room temperature.
