Halloumi and Avocado Toast is a delicious and flavorful combination of creamy avocado and pan-fried halloumi cheese served on toasted bread.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Halloumi cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chilli flakes

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, mash the half avocado until it becomes creamy.

  2. Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil, a squeeze of lemon juice, salt, pepper, and chilli flakes to the mashed avocado. Adjust the seasonings according to your taste preferences.

  3. Spread the avocado mixture evenly over the slice of bread.

  4. Heat a medium-high skillet and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan.

  5. Slice the halloumi cheese and place it in the skillet. Fry the halloumi until it turns browned and crisp on both sides.

  6. Once the halloumi is cooked, remove it from the skillet and place it on top of the avocado spread on the bread.

  7. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the halloumi to enhance the flavors.
