Miso Carrot Spread

Homemade Carrot Spread – perfect blend of flavors – sweet, savory, and a hint of spice!

Cooking Time: 10min + 30min baking

Serving: 2 serving

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 young carrots / 400 g
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons of miso paste
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
  • a small piece of fresh chili to sprinkle
  • a few drops of vegetable oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 175-200 degrees Celsius (347-392 degrees Fahrenheit). Thoroughly scrub and dry the carrots, then rub them with vegetable oil.
  2. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Remove the roasted carrots and let them cool for a while.
  4. Put them in a blender along with the rest of the ingredients and blend until you have a smooth paste.
  5. Transfer the paste to a clean container, put it in the refrigerator, and let it chill.
  6. Spread the paste on your favorite bread, sprinkle olive oil.
